Virtual School Games Success for KS3

During the Autumn Term PMS pupils participated in a number of School Games challenges in table tennis, sportshall athletics and dodgeball. These challenges were set by Gill Murrow and Paul Blunt, our School Games organisers. These challenges were sent to all Bedfordshire schools as a virtual challenge to enable schools to compete against each other without having to compete face to face as school fixtures are not currently taking place.

In our East Beds region Potton won the years 7&8 girls table tennis plus both the boys and girls dodgeball challenges. This meant we qualified for the County Finals and were able to have another go at the challenges to better our scores. Unfortunately our KS2 teams for the sportshall athletics didn’t qualify. The pupils involved worked extremely hard at improving their scores which were then re-submitted to compete against all the other winning schools from around Bedfordshire.

Miss Crawford-Smith is delighted to share with you that Potton finished 2nd and 3rd in the girls table tennis across the whole of Bedfordshire. The team who finished with silver were L Davis, M Dashwood, A Fordham and S Grant from year 8 and the team with bronze were M Newman, L-R Davies and O Dus from year 7. A massive congratulations to the girls.
